Here is video of Mike Starr from the premiere episode of Celebrity Rehab.  He says "In the heyday of Alice In Chains I was the best bass player/entertainer there was.  When they asked me to leave the band -- it broke my heart." @ 2:20

JERRY CANTRELL, COREY TAYLOR, SCOTT IAN, VINNIE PAUL Ring In New Year In Vegas; Video Available - Jan. 12, 2010

Jerry Cantrell (ALICE IN CHAINS), Scott Ian (ANTHRAX), Vinnie Paul Abbott (HELLYEAH, PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN), Keith Buckley (EVERY TIME I DIE) and Meat Loaf are among the guest musicians who performed with COREY TAYLOR & THE JUNK BEER KIDNAP BAND (featuring Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR fame) on New Year's Eve at Dead Man's Hand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be viewed below.

A review of the concert is available at ARTISTdirect.

Dead Man's Hand was Ian and Cantrell's brand new rock bar and performance space which opened in November and is now apparently "moving to a new location," according to Ian.

Here is a transcription of the interview with Jerry Cantrell on ESPN:

Mike (Madison, WI)

You had over 10 songs left out of BGWTB, can we expect an EP coming up soon?

Jerry Cantrell  (5:25 PM)

Probably not. The material we didn't put on the record didn't belong there. It wasn't Alice. Maybe it was two-thirds Alice but it wasn't all the way there.

If this is the same gent I was watching on CR a week or so ago, I really pray he gets better, because what I viewed that evening was very sad, and well yucky, intervenious drug use is just nastiness.  Very sad no
