Yeah but last year a long awaited and requested VH1 documentary didn't get premiered and an highly rated TV station (VH1) didn't release a date.

Why havn't we heard of this before? This is Axl Rose's doing...

November 2004, that is about 4 months away guys!

One question though, what about a guitarist to tour with? I think Fortus and Finck could handle the guitarist duties... I mean come on... 3 is too much anyways!

Tommy's crap will be done by then too!

I understand all the doubts and speculation. And yes we have heard timeframes for a release a zillion times...BUt this comes from a vh1 show. Not ivan from fukin guam or anyother stuff.

Whether you think the band will come thru on it is a totally different issue. The point is that this is as reliable as we are going to get until the band says something directly.

Even if it came out of the band's mouth, I doubt it would be any more reliable than VH1. This is probably as reliable as it gets until we're holding the album.

We've had  3 iffy sources ( VH1 Board, Dmoz.org, GNR Rumour Board), One quasi-reliable source, ( Melodicrock), and now VH1 saying this thing is scheduled for November ( note: scheduled, not 'for sure absolutely 100%'). Call it BS if you want, but there's at least a little room for optimism isn't there? Also, Tommy's tour isn't going past the early fall, and Brain and Dizzy (as far as right now) have nothing scheduled past October. Here's hoping! nervous

I just take it with a little bit caution. We've been down this same road before. I'm very excited about a November release, but eventhough VH1 made such comment, nothing is accurate until Axl Rose or GNR management set a release date. It's all leading to the November relase, but I'll wait before I get my hopes up

Recording is going swimmingly. As I said before, the departure of Buckethead really opened things up for some inovative recording. I will have a completed copy of Chinese Democracy in your hands on November 23rd. I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed making it for you.

I won't believe it even if Axl says that CD'll be out in November. I believe it when I have it in my CD-player. That's how things work. He even said that th 'next album' will be released in 1997 and will have 12+ tracks. Yeah, it did happen, didn't it?

Im psyched, I dont even care if it doesn't come out on november. The fact is that CD is pretty much ready. If it wasn't ready they wouldn't have said Nov '04. Probaly means we have more then 2 vocally recorded tracks and theres probaly no huge lawsuits. Whatever it is awesome b-day present for me.

November will come and go with no Chinese Democracy.
Even if this is official it doesn't mean a thing. If this was some other band we were talking about then maybe, but its not, it's Axl's GN'R and by the time november comes round he'll decide its not ready and needs more "finishing touches".

I think this sounds good. November was rumoured some time now and I don't think that VH1 just quotes rumours.
 Maybe this was one of the reasons for it being postponed again and again.

We all know that plans can change and I know that the following has been said lots of times in the last years, but:

November would be perfect.

Reasons: GNR is in the talks again since GH, which dropped lots of kids into GNR; the VR hype will calm down a bit until then (still I didn't read one article about VR which did not comment on GNR & CD); time for christmas sales, etc.

here's hope.

I just wait for Mysterons comment.
