According to Ticketek Argentina, VELVET REVOLVER and AEROSMITH have been confirmed for the Quilmes Rock '07 festival, set to take place April 15 at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

VELVET REVOLVER drummer Matt Sorum revealed during a Camp Freddy Radio broadcast on Los Angeles' Indie 103.1 FM earlier in the month that the band will team up with AEROSMITH for some South American dates in April. The trek is expected to include additional stops in Brazil and Colombia.

VELVET REVOLVER is recording its second album, tentatively titled "Libertad", with producer Brendan O'Brien, who's worked with AUDIOSLAVE, PEARL JAM and singer Scott Weiland's former group, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS. An initial stint with producer Rick Rubin did not work out.

VELVET REVOLVER hopes to release "Libertad" in early May. Weiland is also working on his second solo album, which he said will surface sometime in 2008 on his own label, Softdrive Records.

Haha just read this on topix.net, but didn't want to post it since it's just a rehash from what has already been said? Wink

This is absolutly confirmed. I also have the tickets for that night. The bill is (in this order, if Im not wrong)

4) Ratones Paranoicos (the same band that opened for GNR in Buenos Aires 1992)
3) Velvet Revolver
2) Evanescence
1) Aerosmith

Anyway, apparently, ticketek has more artists to confirm yet.

The ticket for the playfield was 40 dollars before Evanescence were confirmed, and now its 60.

4 days to this show. The final lineup is:

- Turf (16.45)
Argentine rock and roll band.

- Ratones Paranoicos (17.45)
Argentina rock and roll band (a little ''harder'' than Turf). This is the same band that opened for Guns N' Roses at the two shows at this venue in 1992.

- Evanescence (19.20)
- Velvet Revolver (20.55)
- Aerosmith (22.35)

I will be there. No need to record anything, we will have an FM or a SBD recording almost instantly after the show, and Argentine TV is gonna broadcast the concert (I dont think they will broadcast it completely, but at least some songs).
