Here Today...

« on: February 02, 2007, 04:16:37 PM »

I know that Mysteron poster played a role in making this happen last year.? But I read that he will be inactive now due to GNR being more active.

What will happen in the future??

Whoever is going to manage GNR or incharge of GNR,? if you are reading this, the presales were MUCH appreciated.

Hoping you will consider it again for future shows beer

people don't give this guy enough credit.
i used to dislike him, but after his letter to the fans, and that one rumor where he may have been threatened with a gun.....i got all new respect for the man.

it can't be easy working with Axl Rose....a staff turnaround of 20 different musos over the past 10 yrs clearly shows that....

I hope so, but ours didn't work out too good...as in...people that bought their tickets after us still ended up getting better seats...isn't a presale supposed to prevent that? lol...I dunno

A similar thing happened to me in 2002. I wound up buying two sets of tickets. I kept the better ones (the ones not from a presale) for myself and gave the other two to a couple of my friends who otherwise wouldn't have made it out. All in all it worked out, but thanks to all that fuss I still wasn't able to get the floor and it really pissed me off. Thankfully, all that was rectified in 2006  smoking

I thought forum presales worked out jolly well. Huh protected fans from touts.

can it be more difficult than dealing with endless bogus rumours Roll Eyes
prejudices and dogmas or with the demanding fans, reunionists and the media,  I wonder?

about merck I'm thankful to him. all the best.  peace

presales dont necessarily mean that you will get the best seats, they just make sure you get seats in case the event sells out quick when they go on sale to the public. They don't release all the available tickets on a presale just a select few which is the reason you can sometimes get better tickets after the presale.

As far as the Hammerstein Ballroom, the pre-sale worked out great for me.  I hope that we can have a similar experience with any possible warm-up shows.

Mysteron said this because the fact that GN'R are more active would mean that they would be in the spotlight more and there wouldnt be prolonged periods of silence (2005 anyone?). The fact that GNR would be more active would mean you wouldn't get people asking what Axl is upto nowadays (like when he wasn't in the spotlight - 2005, again)

I found that for the 2006 tour, I got tickets through the venue presales.  Such as 1st Mariner Insiders club.

The band, in one way or another, are always reading your comments, concerns and queries

If presales are an important issue to you, then I am sure they will continue to exist.
