well, im a lefty, and am in the market for a new guitar, asi  stupidly bought a line 6 variax which i have grown to dislike. ( was pretty decent whilst the novelty lasted) however im having trouble finding anywhere online that supplies a decent range of left handed guitars.  im looking specifically for a les paul goldtop style guitar, either gibson, or an epiphone, as i hear the epi goldtop is good. just wondered if any of you guys knew of any decent left hand specialist online stores. cheers in advance

Yep, Agiles are good guitars, especially considering the price. You may want to invest in a better set of pickups, I think thats the only thing the Agile has wrong with it.

i was looking a the goldtop with the p90's. new band stuff is  pretty heavy now, so i wanted something with a good low end growl, but a nice high end squeal for solos and stuff.  only concern is if they will ship to the uk or not.

I'm also a lefty who plays right handed.  I've managed to get used to it, although i still air guitar left handed.

I've been occasionally tempted to swap around the strings on my Fender, but it would totally remove the social element from all my guitar playing.  e.g. when im at a friend's house, i wouldn't really be able to use their guitar, and it would also be a PITA for when people come over to my house, and try and jam.  So i've just peresevered, and i'm doing ok with it.

i did that way back when i first started to learn to play, then swiched to lefty guitars. 12 years down the line i doubt i could go back to a restrung right handed lol anyway, a friend of mine who runs a left handed guitar shop has one he's willing to sell me, a nice gibson les paul in cherry sunburst. hes asking ?850 for it, but i get the feeling i can haggle him down a little  Wink

Add me to the list of lefties playing like a regular right-handed Joe. I think it's even easier in the beginning 'cause your using your 'good' hand for the 'hard' part (ie making chords), while strumming is pretty easy anyway. I do feel it holds me back in the speed-picking side of things now... too late to change though, I have been playing for 12 years now...

Same here.

I've owned a couple of Agiles, great guitars.  Even the pickups arent too bad, unless you get a SX series.

That's what sucks about left handed guitars-the price. They aren't as mass produced as right handed guitars so they cost more.  I'm right handed but I notice the price difference. You can always try ebay. Here is a lefty GMP Flying V.
Gmp's are spendy but collector's items now.

same thing here. the guitar really is a left handed instrument, because the left hand is doing the majority of the work, so i've got better fretboard dexterity, but my picking isn't as strong. its a tradeoff. but i'm glad that i learned right handed
