I know they have been playing the same music for the last 30 years, but damn, this live DVD is insane. Apart from the fast editing, the band is in the top of their game!

Yeah, the crowd was incredible during the shows that were filmed!  67,000 people at each of the three consecutive shows, singing along to every word and guitar riff!

Really sad... he can't be in good shape for this to occur..

I have never seen AC DC ... which I certainly will correct if they tour this fall

Glad I saw them with Malcolm, during the 2008 Black Ice tour.  One of the most amazing shows I've ever seen.

I have never posted in a thread about another band before minus VR... (I don't think)

but this story is just so absurd !

he looks awful in that picture... he must be in real deep with the drugs...

I wonder how this affects their upcoming plans

Well AC/DC are going to tour in 2015 and its almost sure that Rudd cannot leave the country, he might even go to prison for years. Added to all this Rudd wasent present to AC/DC:s video shoot earlier this week and a photo shoot they did a few weeks back so that indicates that the band might have known whats going on and continuing without him.
I think they are auditioning drummers right now.

A statement from the band:

"We've only become aware of Phil's arrest as the news was breaking. We have no further comment. Phil?s absence will not affect the release of our new album Rock or Bust and upcoming tour next year."

Why not Simon Wright or Chris Slade?

Prosecutors drop charge against AC/DC's Phil Rudd
http://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/prosecutors-drop-charge-against-ac-dcs-phil-rudd/ar-AA6W7Mc

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) ? New Zealand prosecutors on Friday backtracked by dropping a murder-for-hire charge against AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd, saying there wasn't enough evidence to proceed.

But the 60-year-old member of the popular Australian band still faces a serious charge of threatening to kill, which comes with a maximum prison term of seven years. He also faces charges of possessing methamphetamine and marijuana.

In a statement, Tauranga Crown Solicitor Greg Hollister-Jones said his office became responsible for prosecuting Rudd after he had been charged by police and had appeared in court.

"The file was obtained today and reviewed," Hollister-Jones said Friday, adding he "made the decision that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the charge of attempting to procure murder."

Rudd's lawyer Paul Mabey said the decision to charge Rudd was made by police without consulting with prosecutors.

"The charge alleging an attempt to procure murder should never have been laid," Mabey said in a statement, adding "Mr. Rudd has suffered unnecessary and extremely damaging publicity as a result of widespread and sensational reporting of a very serious allegation, which on any basis was never justified. The damage to Mr. Rudd is incalculable."

Attempting to procure murder comes with a maximum 10 year prison sentence.

AC/DC said the arrest of its drummer won't affect its upcoming tour or album release. The band released a statement through publicist Benny Tarantini on Thursday saying band members had "only become aware of Phil's arrest as the news was breaking."

"We have no further comment. Phil's absence will not affect the release of our new album 'Rock or Bust' and upcoming tour next year."

"Rock or Bust" is due to be released on Dec. 2 and will be the band's first new studio album in six years. The band plans to promote it during a world tour next year.

Grin its 1990 all over again

I saw Rudd walk past me in 2010 and he looked very very different from what he looked like a few years before.
Its a shame really, Chris Slade  is my fav ac/dc drummer  i hope he comes back.

Funny story actually, it was the day before guns played in helsinki and i decided to go hang out in front of the hotel where 95% of big names that come to helsinki stays. So i meet fellow fans and board members, i had my chinese cd with me and a marker, and theres Malcom Young that walks in the hotel, i saw ac/dc play in Tampere which is about 200 km from helsinki  a few days before. So i was very suprised to see ac/dc people still in helsinki.

Me being a massive ac/dc fan i desided to stay for a while even thou i didnt interact with any ac/dc people, i didnt have a camera or ac/dc cd's. and then Phil Rudd comes out looking weird and didnt give any photos or autographs unlike Malcom. Then i met Dj Ashba and Dizzy Reed who where extremently nice. After that Angus Young came out and gave many photos and autographs, still i didnt go in there i just watched. i didnt see the point to ask Angus to sign my chinese cd. Smiley

I saw also Del James and some other people maybe even Jarmo! then i saw a big car leaving the hotel thru the 'secret' exit, and im still sure that that was AXL leaving helsinki to go to Kimi R?ikk?nens place.
