How does this make sense??? Fire a guy that helped take your Franchise to the best record in history and Hire a guy that has not had success in the NFL. How does this improve your chances at a superbowl? Marty has the best regular season record of any nfl coach in the history of the nfl that has never won a super-bowl. I know the knock on him is play-offs, I know this because I talk a lot of shit about Marty. But come on Norv Turner??? How in the hell does that improve your team? I think even though the guy has lost in the play-offs, Marty is still hands down the better coach. There can be no argument there. He did good things in Cleveland, Kansas City, and now just finished taking San Diego to 14-2. Ya theres great talent there, but you can't have a great team with out good talent and good coaching. And they just lost good coaching. I'm not a San Diego fan by any means, but i just cannot understand how Norv Turner is a step up from Marty Schottenheimer.? smoking

Norv Turner isn't meant to be a upgrade from Marty. He is a hold over untill they can hire a Head Coach early in the offseason next year.
The Chargers dropped the ball by not making this move sooner. By the time they released him they were out of the running for a decent head coach and had lost both of their Coordinaters so anyone they grab had no chance of building a good staff.

This may be the biggest NFL blunder since the Saints traded a full Draft worth of picks for the chance to grab Ricky Williams.

I think there was a personal rift between Marty and the GM of the Chargers. When personal feelings get involved, things can go down the shitter. Thus we have Norv Turner.......
