Actually, those pics are kinda creepy..
I just remembered - mosquitoes, wasps and ventriloquist dummies all terrified me, especially mosquitoes.? To be honest, mosquitoes still do big time.

my father and toilets that had blue water in them from some kind of constant bowl cleaner...I thought cuz the water was so blue it came from the ocean therefore had marine life in it that could potentially bite/eat me
...not to mention that when I was small and around Christmas my mother would say" be good now and go right to sleep, Santa is watching..." use to freak me out so bad I slept with my covers over my head till almost April

I was always afraid of being kidnapped. When I was younger, those Dutroux kidnappings were just "main part" in the news and it happened kinda nearby. My parents always told me to look out etc so I blame them

Not so much from a specific movie, but I was always afraid of dolls.? I thought they would come to life during the night and attack me.? Even now, if my daughter leaves a doll lying around, I keep an eye on it.? Totally creeps me out.?
Same here. Dolls scare the shit out of me if I'm in the right frame of mind.
My mother has this huge doll from when she was a kid. It's a big plastic thing, black, and I'd say close to three feet tall. Anyway, when I was younger it used to freak me out. Like a portrait painting, it seemed the eyes would follow me around the room. And because I have five younger sisters, the doll was always out around the house somewhere, just staring at me and waiting for the right moment to attack...
It was freaky, the doll would be left standing up against a wall, sitting in a corner, maybe even sitting on the couch! And man, I used to have to take the bloody thing and throw it in a closet or something. There was no way I could relax if it was out. Especially in the night! Because I'd usually be the last one to go bed and there was no way I was going to lie back and watch tv with that thing staring at me. Far too spooky.
Funny though how completely irrational fear can overtake you, huh?

I know exactly the kind of doll you are talking about!? When I was a kid, my friend had one of those three foot tall dolls and I was terrified of it.? If I was ever staying over at her house, I wouldn't go to sleep until it was put in the closet.? Usually with a big pile of stuff on it, for extra safety.? The eyes scared me, but so did the hands.? ?I can't explain exactly why, I was just sure they were dangerous somehow.
To me, the big dolls are the worst because they are so lifelike in their size and with their features. They're like toddlers. The little things are too small to be doing the grown up things that they do, such as walking, but they're big enough that they resemble an adult just the right amount to make them a little freaky at times. You know what I mean?

Yeah, with the right frame of mind and a little imagination, your mind can take you pretty far with that kind of stuff.
Pretty far in the other direction as well. For example, I just had a brief flash of what your nipples might look like if they were exposed to a frigid gust of wind.
Quote from: Sterling on April 10, 2007, 11:12:54 PM
Even as an adult I can let my imagination get the best of me.? If I'm home alone and watching a scary movie, every little sound becomes something to be concerned about.
Anyway getting back to the topic, yeah, me too. Don't get me wrong, I don't exactly freak out or anything, I just become spooked a little if I let myself get into whatever it is that I'm taking in, which could be a book, a movie, etc. But either way, it's certainly an interesting reaction.
