In Australia we have an unique phenomenon called Pub Rock. Two band of note here are - The Angels and Cold Chisel.

Also, we have a little known band called AC/DC. The original lead singer, Bon Scott - ROCKED!

We've got focus with Jan akkerman the guy was once voted best living guitarist in the world:

Another good aussie band, BTW, is The Church. They do a lovely song 'Under The Milky Way Tonight' - has a great bagpipe solo.

Much like another band I know.......
