I say Stones, just personal preference on their style of music. And yes, I do realize that the Stones have some pretty shitty albums mixed in with their classics.

I agree with the statistics of this debate The Beatles were so much better at writing songs IMO. Every single Beatles album has great songs start to finish. I cannot say the same about the Stones.

I like both but for different reasons. With the Beatles, it's probably all about the music - whereas with the Rolling Stones it's all about what the music does to you!
We all want to be the 'Fifth' Beatle but I'm happy for Mick and the boys just to do the voodoo that they do so well.

I like the beatles. I Fucking LOVE the stones. Real rock n' roll attitude started with the stones. Don't get me wrong, they've spent the past 25 years putting out mostly garbage and making billions off playing their old shit which is pretty lame. But I don't know if any band has ever had a streak of albums as good as Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile On Main St., and Goats Head Soup. And everything off of Beggars Banquet is amazing. Most of The Beatles early stuff is too pop music for me. It still comes off as pop after 40 some odd years. I am not trying to negate how revolutionary or important The Beatles were, however the only album by them I really love is The White Album. And even that has alot of stuff I skip.

The Stones by far

The album run between Beggars Banquet and Tatoo You is amazing! It's a shame that so many people know them just because of classics like Brown Sugar, Start Me Up, Satisfaction etc

In my opinion, their underrated gems are their best songs. Songs like Sway, Moonlight Mile, Rocks Off, Let it Loose

Hell, just get Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main street, and you'll se who's better

What early Beatles are you listening too? Most early Beatles is based on raw Rock and Roll. The Beatles had some very tough crowds to please in Hambourg - Rock and Roll was the style that went down the best - you could also dodge glasses being thrown at you to this music.
