Why not just say "This is false"?

If it was true, then why not simply confirm it?

If it was unknown then what is wrong with discussing what a radio station has claimed?

But in this case, the station in question did not play the song; it only (allegedly) stated that the record company gave them the official version to play.  All we were doing was discussing whether that might be true.

It IS very strict about the leaks and media/radio reviewing them on this board, not that I can't see why.
