Who is this guy and what does he have to do with Guns N Roses?

I was reading about NIN touring and they mentioned him as the touring keyboardist.  The article said he used to play with GNR.

Alessandro has been with NIN since the "With Teeth" lineup formed. I have no knowledge about him ever doing anything with GNR.

The GNR connection seems to be that Cortini is currently playing in Robin's former band NIN. ?Josh Freese is also currently playing with NIN too.

The article said he used to play with GNR.
Maybe what the article meant to say was that Robin used to be in NIN and is now in GNR?

This is how it is listed here...

Over the past two years or so, however, the lineup has remained relatively static, including guitarist Aaron North (Queens of the Stone Age), drummer Josh Freese, bassist Jeordie White (Marilyn Manson) and keyboardist Alessandro Cortini (Devo, Guns N' Roses, The Offspring) - all headed to Tel Aviv this Wednesday as part of the Year Zero tour.

It's just a mistake: Josh Freese has played for all of them three bands which are listed after Cortini: Devo, Guns N' Roses and The Offspring so it should read like this:

Over the past two years or so, however, the lineup has remained relatively static, including guitarist Aaron North (Queens of the Stone Age), drummer Josh Freese (Devo, Guns N' Roses, The Offspring), bassist Jeordie White (Marilyn Manson) and keyboardist Alessandro Cortini? - all headed to Tel Aviv this Wednesday as part of the Year Zero tour.

The brackets are after the wrong name that's all.
