Ok so I'm looking for a ringback tone that mainly consists of violins or other instruments you may hear in a country club or expensive restaurant...

Does anyone know any particular composers, either living or dead that you might associate with snobbish, wealthy people?  There's this one tune in my head that I believe is pretty famous yet I could not for the life of me put a name or title with it...

Oh and also, using it as a ringback is definately for humor... not to be taken seriously.

Thanks

You can try Chopin or (I can't spell this) chikovsky. You can search also by the dominant instrument so if you want more violins or horns or piano it will be easier to pick out. Also, they sell samplers in music stores so you can listen to five different composers and you should definitely get something off there. If you have a classical music station, you can listen and they usually announce the composer and piece after the music.

Or get a soundtrack from a British film or one that has loads of snooties and they usually have some classical set to one of the scenes that would be appropriate.

I would say Chopin but you are probably thinking about Beethoven or Mozart - most popular composers.

I've always liked Wagner's Flight Of The Valkyries, but it might not be appropriate for what your looking for.

Try Phillip Glass, it's different, mozart and likes is far too common.

If you like dissonance, go fo Eric Satie...
