Anyone here fans of Mascis and the guys in Jr ? Always have liked that band, the origianl line up is back and they released a new album earlier in the year which is good but not as good as earlier releases. I am going to see them open this leg of the tour up in Pittsburgh at Mr. Smalls cannot wait. Just curious to see if anyone else that posts here is into them.

they are playing Mr. Smalls in Pittsburgh. Very cool place it used to be a Catholic church , it has a recording studio, all kinds of cool stuff. Pretty intimate, caught the Jayhawks there about 3 years ago. It is going to be interesting seeing Dinosaur Jr. in a club, i seen them open up for Neil Young back in 93' and to this day it was by far the loudest i have ever heard any band. I cant imagine how loud it will be in Mr.Smalls.

All I know of them was that song"feel the pain" ( may be wrong in the title) back in the early-mid 90's.

Liked that song.

By far, the most underrated band of the 90's.

Nirvana, PJ, Alice in Chains..all listed DJ as one of their biggest influences. I became a fan in early 90's,..when they release "Where you been" and "without a sound". To me, these albums are better than the critically acclaimed "Bug" or "You are living all over me".

I had the opportunity to see them this year in a festival, but I'm not too keen on festivals anymore.

Anyway, best songs are found in "without a sound"...to list a few "I dont think so" "on the brink" "Grab it"...

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.
