I'm Ron Burgundy?

A couple GNR mentions on "That Metal Show" last night by a few guests.  The late Jani Lane (RIP) talked about how his band "Plain Jane" used to open for Guns a lot back in their days on the strip, while Warrant would open for Poison.  And once Poison and GNR got signed, the lead singer and drummer left Warrant, paving the way for Jani to join the band.

Then, Faster Pussycat's Taimie Down was on and he was asked why they never made it big like a GNR even though they had a number of hits and great songs.  He said he had no idea but said that they had some great times with GNR, when they took them out on the road.

A nice little nostalgic trip down Memory Lane of the Sunset Strip.

1. Bruce Dickinson
2. Geoff Tate
3. Axl Rose

It's suppose to be Pink Floyd night but they are doing karaoke in Axl's voice.  Earlier Jimmy was playing with the Axl app.  He's getting a lot of attention.  hihi

I don't know if I should have started a new thread, but since the old one was stopped being used almost a year ago, I decided to.

I also don't know who on here watches the show Supernatural. It's about two brothers who go across the country hunting down monsters. They frequently use Rock star names as their alias when posing as police or the FBI. On last week's episode, their names were "Rose and Hudson". I had a good laugh at that and was glad to see GnR get a little nod from that show after all these years.

MOD's please move if this is not in the right place or if it's been reported before. Thanks!

I love that show. After all these years, I still can't decide who is the better looking dude. Sam or Dean. hihi

I saw it, and thought it was a great episode. The girlfriend didn't like it though as she is not a big fan of home camera horrors

WTTJ has been played before during an earlier series I remember. They like their classic rock.  hihi

I couldn't agree more with you! I think someone doesn't care for Axl or has a hard-on for AC/DC?

Axl made the list with one, maybe one and a half album.Which is ok,judging that all the other singers released 4-5 albums.
But ,Anselmo ? really ? he's ok for the 90's anyway.

I went to see the movie WARM BODIES today. It is definitely for the TWILIGHt crowd as Zombies are the new vampires. It brought a tear to my eye when they placed the GNR song PATIENCE during a critical scene in the movie. They also showed a GNR albumn. The same lady who chose all the music for the TWILIGHT movies picked this song. beer So maybe all my THIS I LOVE posts were not in vain. beer it was a great surprise on Axl's bday. And a cute movie too.

The best movie that has GNR in it is The Dead Pool. It's funny as hell when Slash uses a harpoon.

Maybe Slash, Duff, and Matt should've asked Jim Carrey if he wanted to replace Scott in VR.

hey guys very new here great site, so cool
'bad dreams' '88 with jennifer rubin and the late richard lynch has scom over the credits. according to director andrew fleming on the dvd they got the song cheap 'cause nobody knew guns yet
apparently they would've done a vid with jennifer rubin, but erin everly nixed it, according to fleming
interesting a guns vid for a horror flick ?
would've been cool

I saw that last night and noticed it. Patience, and they showed the vinyl of AFD. And it was nowhere near as crap as Twilight so that's a plus.
