How is that being paranoid. Isn't that like the most ultimate insult to a guy?

I am not a stalker. I am a writer and I know a jab when I see one. Truth.

Is that nice? You do realize personal attacks are not really allowed here, right?  rant

It was just a lame line in a even lamer TV show- no harm done.

You do realize by saying this you just helped prove xBrownstonex's point, right?

I'll never understand why some of you feel the need to quote something you find insulting or personally offensive.

On topic:  I don't watch this particular show or a lot of the shows/movies mentioned in this thread.  I find it interesting which and how many different types of shows make GNR references.  IMO, it shows how GNR never lost it's mojo as far as it's being "culturally significant" over these past thirty-some years.

I found the GNR reference in Shameless also to be funny and agree with Gypsy about how like em or hate em ,Guns are part of the cultural fabric.  On another note Grace Slick says her one regret in life she would change is not fucking Jimi Hendrix, are people up in arms about that?  😂

I'm not supporting anyone's "point" and I really don't support him taking personal jabs at another member in order to prove his "point"- personal insults add nothing to your argument.

I honestly don't watch much TV, or place much stock in any given television program so I'm not convinced this statement or potshot - is anything to be concerned about-

there are always stupid people saying stupid things on TV , radio, media and internet - I put it in this category.

One of the commercials during TLC's Say Yes To The Dress was for the online casino gambling site featuring the Guns N' Roses slots game.

Why are people getting all caught up on a joke. Shameless is actually a pretty good show if you actually watch it very entertaining. I am sure axl is not losing sleep over the line if he even knows about it so if he doesn't care why should anyone else.

You are probably right. Shameless is one of my fav shows, it is usually very well written and really exposes the reality of life on the southside of Chicago. There was another joke once where another character told Fiona that she slept with all the guys of a Gunsnroses cover band and that they all had wives and girlfriends.

As we all know axl was a big fan of Dexter another Showtime series maybe they have heard thru someone that hes a fan of that show and as a little tongue and cheek they throw in those GNR references just because its a joke doesn't mean its a bad thing.

'80s Rock Gods: Then and Now

Guns N' Roses, one of the best-selling hard rock bands of all time, will reunite key members including bassist Duff McKagan, left, and guitarist Slash, second from left, with front man Axl Rose (center) to play Coachella in mid-April. With summer festival season already boasting a resurgence in slots for veteran rockers, we take a look at the hard rockin' bands of the '80s then and now.
