Hey, did you all see that nasty wreck in turn 1?  Shocked

(Hooray for Junior, he was 2 tenths of a second faster!)

Yes, that was insane. Just happy that Michael McDowell was able to climb out of the car on his own and walk away from that wreck.

I just happened to be at home watching qualifying yesterday and saw the wreck live. It was definitely scary and I didn't think Michael would get out the car that quick and walk away on his own power. But very happy is was.

Here's the video of yesterdays qualifying wreck in Texas:

I was watching it live too, and when he was taking his qualifying laps, I said to myself, "I hope he doesn't crash like he did in Martinsville!"

I had visions of Earnhardt's wreck when his car hooked to the right.  nervous

I did too. But that was amazing when Michael climbed out of his car on his own. Kudos to NASCAR.

Yeah man.  The safety innovations since 2001 have saved a lot of lives!

Thank God for the SAFER barrier.  If he had hit the concrete wall with that force, he may have been in bad shape.

Dale Jr. had a pretty good run and finish today in the Grand National race. Hopefully tomorrow he'll get his first win in the #88 car.

He may have finished higher had he not gone down a lap earlier.

That first win...when it comes, it will be HUGE.

He ran good all day as he's been doing all year. What a difference this year has been from last year and the last couple of years for Dale Jr. He's been running so good that I've become spoiled and want a win now....lol.  Smiley

NEWMAN!

Yeah he failed me too.  I thought he would do well since he got the pole, and he has always run well there.

Fucker killed me and cost my to spot in the standings.

Oh guys, one word...

TALLADEGA!  I can't wait!

That Grand National race on Sunday was just unbearable to watch. I think I sat through two red flags and I can't even remember how many cautions there were. no

I hope that was the last race in Mexico.  The grandstands were empty.

Although, it was pretty cool that they played JUNGLE during the Victory Lane celebration.

What?!! I missed that in victory lane. Now that really sucks. Especially after sitting through that monstrosity of a race yesterday.  rant

I hope too that'll be the last race in Mexico. But I doubt NASCAR will pull it that quick. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one more race there next year before they pull it.

Yeah, I was watching the Laker game and as soon as it ended, I flipped over and I heard it.

Maybe if they found a better track to race at, that would be better.  But two road courses in two foreign countries?  Undecided

I like how Boris Said got real upset.

On to Alabama, and a REAL race!
