Uwe Boll Sets 'Postal' to Release Against Indiana Jones!!!

Uwe Boll, what an interesting personality, known for his promotional stunts he has yet to deliver a film that actually "performs" in the theaters - he's quickly becoming the anti-William Castle. Today he sent an e-mail out exclaiming that he will now release his horror-comedy Postal in theaters May 23, the same day as INDIANA JONES' return. "On the Indiana Jones weekend - May 23 - we will go out and destroy Indiana Jones in the Box Office! We all know that Harrison Ford is older as my grandpa and his time is up - would Michael Moore say!" Good luck with that. Read on to see what else he had to say.

And the ONLY way he can try to make ANY money on this piece of shit is to try to piggyback off of IJ's "name" in whatever crazy way he can.  Maybe he should offer to box Harrison, Steven, and Shia.

I'd venture that IJ will make more, in it's opening weekend, than the opening weekend grosses of every UB movie ever made, combined.  Heck, it may surpass the TOTAL grosses of every UB movie ever made, combined, over their ENTIRE theatrical runs.

I disagree.  For me, Wood's movies were campy fun.  Boll's are just crappy.  Not bad ENOUGH to be campy and funny, but not nearly good enough to be watchable.

To each his own, I guess.

I agree, it was funny.  He's very good at PR and stunts....just not so good at making MOVIES.

And, while he did kick their asses...there are some extenuating circumstances behind those ass kickings.

First off, he told ALL the participants it was a PR stunt, and that they would be pulling punches in the ring.  So 2 things happened: 1) Nobody trained seriously and 2) They went in both expecting pulled punches, and pulling their own to start...until Boll started firing with both "barrels".

Second, he allegedly promised those critics trainers, to get ready...and never provided them.

Third, he hand picked his opponents.  ONE of them might have been considered an actual "athlete", and had some boxing experience.  The others were...well...less than physically imposing.  When confronted by a couple of opportunities to box critics who were not old, decrpit, or in atrocious physical shape.....he cowered like the wuss-boy that he is.

For example: He was SUPPOSED to go on attack of the show, on g4, for a sparring match.  AOTS has chosen Seanbaby, their at the time co-host, to be his sparring partner.  Seanbaby has some fighting experience, is a young guy, is in relatively good physical shape, and isn't a 5 foot, 100 lb weakling.  As soon as Boll heard who they were pairing him up with....he cancelled his appearance.

I mean...I don't BLAME him.  If I were one of the shittiest producers/directors/writers on the planet, I'd want my STUNTS to at least work in my favor.  It's the only thing he's got going for him.

But he still sucks donkey balls, and so do his movies.
