The new coldplay album sounds like a rip off of 'Dont Believe The Truth" "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" and "Heathen Chemistry"...all Oasis albums released in the last 8 years....

Might have a listen and try and hear what you are hearing...but I can't see Coldplay putting out x=y just to go back to producing something that "sounds like" Oasis.  Rip off is such a loaded word!  Wink

Not knocking the Gallaghers - saw em on Jools recently.

That?s what I heard the other day and honestly, the guys are like what, 31? Mr. Chris Martin said a musician has nothing to do after age 33!!!! What??? has he gone insane? he?s got the coolest job on earth, earns quite a lot of money and he says that? I guess he should have a talk with older rockers who are still at it.

I don?t mind Coldplay, their last 2 albums work just fine for me. However, there are tons of rockers who are like twice their age and play harder and faster plus their live performances demand a loooot of energy, and their are still doing it. Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Roger Waters are still recording and touring the whole world. So Chris, don?t be lazy.

History proves that the most critically acclaimed albums by a band are usually made when the members are in their 20s. Perhaps he realises this and wants to quit while he's....... ahead? I guess so...

But that Viva la vida loca whatever it was called song they put out recently was all over the radio. Most annoying.
