GN'R to get "Revenge" on Rock Band 2

Get ready for "Shackler's Revenge." The track from the upcoming Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy will appear on the video game Rock Band 2, slated for release for the Xbox 360 platform in September.
The news was announced Monday morning by Harmonix president and CEO Alex Rigopulos at Microsoft?s press conference at E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In addition to "Shackler?s Revenge," Rock Band 2 will feature songs by Bob Dylan, Metallica, Pearl Jam and the Grateful Dead among the 80-plus songs on the playlist.
I was reading a rumored track listing for the upcoming Rock Band 2 that is releasing this September and they have Guns n Roses track listed and the song is Shacklers Revenge. Anyone else heard of this? http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=325454

So what does that mean? Is it a buckethead song or a GN'R song that buckethead plays on? The title of that section says " What soundtracks/scores has Buckethead played on?" as oppose to actually scoring as a solo artist- so it could well be a Guns N' Roses number with him on lead. Fingers crossed cause I like the sound of that as an eye catching rocking first single. |

I mean, how have we never heard of THAT song when word was already out about other songs and some of those songs were even played live in 2001-2002? there are probably around 30 songs we don't know the name of, so i don't find it weird if this is a real song that we never heard of.. if this in fact is real maybe they were asked for a new song and they figured well let's take that song, it might be shelved or something but they thought it could be good enough for promoting the band, or it might be a song that we have heard of  |

No. That was the case with a Guitar Hero 1 and 2 but has since changed. Most of the bands (since technology is updated) provide tracks with each section of their songs that the band recorded themselves. I doubt Axl would want anyone re-recording his songs...."Sweet Child" wasn't in GH2, nor "Jungle" in GH3..... |
