D, why do you always need to focus on negative shit?  Who really gives a fuck about typos or whatever??

Why are you such a kiss ass anyway?

Some people may never know the answers to these questions...

Let's put things in perspective. You're holding the first GN'R album in years in your hands. And what do you wanna talk about?

Some errors in the fucking booklet.....

For fuck's sake!

yeah Jarmo but we weren't talking about the errors. One or two posters did, the rest of us were telling them the exact same thing u are saying now.

Most of the thread was just about who played what, translating the symbols, and all of that. Most of that thread was very positive and I made a point to steer people away from any negative typo talk cause it doesn't matter.

Its not a big deal, I honestly could care less about booklets, but I just hate when one or two posters can kill an entire thread.

With all due respect... yeah. It's not the only thing to talk about but yes, I do wish to talk about it and by the length of the thread I know I'm not the only one. I wish to talk about it not only because the errors were quite a contrast to the perfectionism that can be found elsewhere in the product but also because the discussion fell under what I understand with 'constructive criticism', i.e. it actually may make things better in the future. I see no difference between this and Metallica fans criticizing the sound quality on Death Magnetic. Now if DM buyers didn't complain about the poor sound they would be in for the same treatment next time around. Next GNR album I wish to see with less mistakes in the booklet. Actually, I also wish they'll correct mistakes on CD booklet if they need to print more.

The question isn't about magnitude. The issues touched in the thread were of minimal relevance (unlike DM). It was about intrigue. And if HTGTH is not the place for that it should be made clear in the rules/T&C so we won't be left wondering "wtf?" Now the related discussion has grown to be about principles. Lots of people had their posts deleted for no clear reason (all in the thread actually, but even more those not touching the issue of mistakes in the booklet but the discussing the Chinese language). If we're expected to abide by the rules then I expect to be treated respectfully when doing so. Deleting posts at will and without proper explanation is not respectful. Period.

To really put things in perspective... We're holding the first GN'R album in years in our hands. And what do mods wanna do? Delete a thread (actually at least two) that doesn't violate any stated rules like you had nothing better to do and wished to bully the members for the hell of it.

Its also valid from a customers position. I cant take the album back and ask for one with a booklet thats not faulty, because from what I gathered before the topic was deleted, apparantly they're all like that.

Discussing this issue on a fan forum is perfectly reasonable. How can one prudent thread, amongst many happy and excited threads, somehow ruin this occasion for people?

I guess it can kind of be interpreted as us fans never being happy.

We bitch cause we don't have CD and then once we get CD we find something else to bitch about.

I can see that but my point was, that thread didn't even contain very much bitching about the typos. 90 percent of it was positive and "They are no big deal" etc.

i'm not fussed about typos in the booklet.

the booklet is the most in-depth look at the making of any GnR album ever released.    Each individual band member(even ones who left) were given the respect to do their own thank yous, and the cover art is great.

why bitch about stupid shit?

exactly but that thread wasn't a "bitch" thread. a few people here and there may have brought it up but a few posts shouldn't kill a thread that was mostly positive and had some cool back and forth discussions.

why bitch about stupid shit?

What exactly is "stupid shit"? You can't possibly mean the discussion on the booklet as no one was bitching about anything in the thread.

Discussing reasons for deleted posts is hardly stupid either.

Are you still whining about this? Go listen to the album.

This is how things are handled at HTGTH? Screw over members contributing to this board and give no explanations. And when questioned ignore the issue and demean those doing the questioning? Not cool.

One could argue it's also pathetic to discuss the songs. It makes no fucking difference what so ever. Why not everyone just listen to their long awaited album and shut the fuck up?

But this thread here is about the right to discuss a topic that does not violate the rules of the board. You don't have to comment if you don't think a topic is worth discussing. It's called freedom of choice.

People posting on threads they're not interested in... now that's pathetic!

Whats pathetic is that Guns N'Roses have released possibly the most unprofessional error strewn cd booklet in the history of the band, or even the entire genre.

Whats pathetic is they are selling this product to the world as "The most anticipated album of all time", and yet it wasnt anticpated enough for someone to double check that everything was spot on before giving the ok to print millions.

Whats pathetic is the way the admin of this site are belittling the members who have reasonably asked why they are not allowed to discuss this issue, or any of the more redeeming features of the booklet, with other fans who have bought this album.
