Not to be a Debbie Downer, but, they can't sell out stadiums in the US.  I've  got a bad feeling about this.  They need to start at a more modest level, INMHO.  But of course, I'll be there!
Well there's 3 things that would help them sell out, or at least come close.  Most importantly PROMO.  Secondly they could have an established opener with their own dedicated fanbase.  And thirdly they limit the shows, don't schedule too many shows close together.  I think they'd do fine if they do those 3 things.

Axl Rose intends to follow last November?s release of Chinese Democracy with a worldwide Guns n? Roses stadium tour this summer, according to industry insiders. If it comes to pass, the tour would mark the first U.S. stadium dates for the current line-up of Guns ? their 2002 and 2006-?07 tours were arena outings, with some overseas stadium shows. (And contrary to one persistent online rumor, the band has absolutely no plans of playing Spain?s Kobetasonik Festival this June.)

Meanwhile, Guns? manager, Irving Azoff, tells Rolling Stone that the band has big plans for this year. ?Axl has been basically quiet, keeping out of the limelight for almost 15 years. People think they know him but they only really only know what has been said about him by questionable people,? Azoff says. ?He is a good guy and often misunderstood ? he is a professional who has worked very hard to build and maintain a high creative standard for Guns n? Roses, which I support. We have some exciting things in the works this year for Gn?R, I?m looking forward to it.?

That would quite possibly be the greatest thing ever.

I wish them the best, but a stadium tour is hard to pull off.

Hope it works out for them.

Stadium is ambitious by themselves, I'd like to think they are having a few bands in tow.

Or just ONE.  In fact a band that plays a song titled "One" would work.  Sorry couldn't resist.

To sell out stadiums as mentioned, u would really have to have some big time promotion by Axl

I say reasonable ticket prices for sure and definitely some NAMED opening acts. Would be cool if they could pull in a Linkin Park and maybe The Killers or something.

Another big band to go in tow with them, like Metallica would make a stadium tour not an issue as far as selling out.

By themselves, not so sure.......media has not been fair to them & not been kind to Axl & Co.

In today's economy, They have to have some sort of HUGE surprise in the works. Has to be a big Co headline deal.. .what's Van Halen doing this summer?

U know, A lot of people are questioning how GNR can pull this off.... but really if u look at the numbers, they didn't do bad in the big markets. Its only when they went to the midwest and some of the smaller cities that the attendance wasn't the best.

They could do Giants Stadium. Gillette Stadium in Boston. LA Coliseum, something in Florida, maybe the Orange Bowl,

But this would really have to be Axl's shining moment though. He'd have to fully and I mean fully be into this to make it work. cause it will take tons of promo.
