I wonder how Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx feel about a guy from the Motley Crue camp joining Guns. This is very exciting news and I hope a tour annoucement follows it.

Sad to hear the Robin is officially gone.  I don't know much bout Dj Ashba, but I'm excited to hear what he brings to the mix.  Can't wait for an upcoming tour announcement!

So, he has joined for an upcoming tour, but he officially replaces Robin, who continues to be a part of GN'R?

Anyone else having any difficulty making sense of the specifics of the situation?

At least this means that the tour is definitely on the horizon Smiley

I hope this is a short term thing until Robin is done the NIN tour.

Can't really say I like this guys previous work, but I'll leave the judgment on him till after I hear what he brings to guns.

I guess if Robin ever decides to come back, this guy gets piss on his shoes.

Yay for the possible tour though.

EDIT: sorry for having an opinion my F?hrer, won't do that mistake again.

Robin is not officially gone. Haven't you read anything the past months?

Robin is busy. He can't tour. DJ Ashba will do it for him. GNR decided not to sit around and wait for Robin to be available.

It was either wait or go with some new guy. They went with the new guy so they can tour.

Not really an ideal situation, but if you haven't gotten used to this stuff yet, I suggest you better get used to it now.

"He joined the band for an upcoming tour"
"Robin continues to be part of GNR"

so this means Ashba is replacing Finck just for the tour? Huh Huh

Yes, isn't that obvious?

When Robin quit for the NIN tour, it was either to wait until 2010 when the NIN tour potentially would finish or get some new guy
to cover his place. It was damn fucking easy to see.

Some people were all disillusioned and thought Robin would just come back once Axl needed him..blah blah blah.

This is the deal. I think it's the best they could have done all things considered.

That's cool that Ron commented.

But, can someone clarify the situation?  Has DJ just replaced Robin for the upcoming tour?  Just the first leg or two of the tour?  Is DJ a permanent replacement for Robin?

DJ Ashba will be there as long as Robin WON'T be there. Is it hard to get?  hihi

I don't think the statement is as clear as it could be.  It sounds like it's just for the tour, but then it says "officially replaces" Robin.

It's cool because it implies the tour is coming, but it would be easier to make sense of the situation and be excited about it if the statement was clearer.
