i took over a shitty keeper money league team

dude was 4-13 last year only scored 1400 pts in 17 games

Ive already scored 1800 and am 7-9 but heavily favored in week 17

kind of playing for a draft pick right now

help me pick 3 keepers please

can only keep 2 at one position by the way

QB McNabb
RB: Deangelo Williams,Matt Forte, Jerome Harrison, Knowshon Moreno
WR: Brandon Marshall, Miles Austin, Marquez Colston, Dwayne Bowe

what three?

I was thinking Austin,Williams and maybe Jerome Harrison

or even Austin,Forte and Harrison *since Stewart came on so strong and will take 50 percent of carries away from D.

D, does where u drafted them make a difference?  For instance, some leagues make you keep the guy with the round you drafted him in.  How do the 3 keepers affect your next year's draft?

btw, I too have a question.  My Super Bowl is Week 17 (yes, I know, it's friggin nuts and definitely explains why the #1 seed has never won our league's super bowl), but anyhow...here's my plan.  Lemme know what ya think

QB: Rodgers, Cassel, Leinart.
*I'm tentaively going with Rodgers...unless the Vikes win the 1:00 game.  Then, I may go with Leinart who will probably be leading scrubs vs. scrubs in a meaningless game with the Packers.  Sure, I could go with Rodgers who will probably play one or 2 quarters...but I will be tempted by Leinart as AZ likely rests old man Warner.

RB:  set with Adrian Peterson in a must-win as he's playing a team just torched by Carolina for over 200 yds rushing.
and Jonathan Stewart against a Saints team that will probably rest everybody.
(that means I'm resting Mendenhall and S-Jax.)

WR:  rollin' the dice with Randy Moss unless he's inactive.
goin' with Crabtree over Colston...just because I see him playing the whole game and Marques probably won't.
         odd-man out is Devery Henderson.

TE:  even though he probably won't play the whole game, Gates over Scheffler.

K:  Kris Brown.  nice matchup in a must-win.

Dfense:  tough one.  very confused.  I have the Cards and the Chargers.  If the Vikes lose (I hope they don't!) but if they did, AZ actually has a reason to win.  If MIN and PHI both lose and AZ wins, AZ gets the #2 seed.  Sooo, right now I have the Chargers D in there hoping the Redskins completely fall apart.  If Min loses, I'll heavily consider rollin with the Cards.

Big $$$ on the line here!  Any and all thoughts welcome!!!

My opponent's got
Brees or Garrard
Gore and Harrison
Wayne, Boldin, Clayton
Witten
Gould or Janikowski
Titans or Texans
1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, 1k, 1D

 peace

no, keepers don't affect my draft... im gonna maybe throw this weeks game so i can get the 3rd overall pick.

shit rough situation... depends, does GB hold the tiebreak over Philly? Cause if GB lose and Philly lose, GB could end up 6th seed.....

Id probably go Leinart.. no way they are playing Warner in a meaningless game if it becomes that way

Sit Jackson.. he is banged up

I think u are in great shape... Brees won't play the whole game or at least he shouldn't and Garrard is ok but i like your matchup there

Harrison and Gore though... I think Stewart and AP are better there

WR , Wayne u know isn't gonna play  much and I doubt Boldin will either.

Personally, I'd rather keep any of those other WRs than Austin. I think the guy's overrated. The majority of his stats came in those games when he just EXPLODED. I know he's picked it back up again as of late, but this isn't his first year in the league. Why hadn't he done anything before?

I'd definitely keep Marshall. Your RBs are hard to choose from, though. Williams is the best, but Stewart's going to continue to get more and more carries. Forte flat out sucked this year, but surely he'll be better next season. Harrison has been huge lately, but he still does play for Cleveland. Moreno hasn't been spectacular, but solid.

I'd probably keep Moreno, since he has the most upside. He's done well as a rookie, and he should only improve. Plus he'll probably get more carries next year than he did this year. I don't know which other one I'd choose, though. I'd probably roll the dice with Forte and pray for a bounce-back season.

True, Harrison could be a one hit wonder plus he plays Pitt and Balt twice and Cincy twice who are better at the run this year

Miles just now got his chance to start and finally has gotten the opportunities.

I think Marshall,Forte *If they upgrade the O Line in the offseason* and Moreno

Deangelo is awesome but he just doesn't get the touches or the redzone carries.

D, maybe the whole capless year will be a factor?  I don't know enough about how it will impact player movement, but if it does affect player movement, I'd be tempted to keep Moreno over Forte.  Forte just never looked fast this season...not one spark.  Brandon Marshall's a no-brainer.  I'd also go with Moreno and Bowe.  Tough choices D.  Tank the last game and get that #3 pick. True, in my league, there's a "no tank" policy in effect.  Owners risk losing their franchise with any tanking or collusion of any kind.  As commish, I rule with an iron fist.  Smiley

By the way, with teams finally (kinda) revealing who's playing and who isn't...my roster's getting fucked up!
espn' seems to think Rodgers will still have a good week at qb.  I don't know why...can anybody explain this to me?
I'm thinking of going with Leinart over Rodgers tomorrow...if the Vikings win tomorrow in the 1:00 game of course.  If the Vikes win, the Cards have no chance of getting the #2 seed and bye.

At wide receiver, I'm benching Randy Moss and Marques Colston and rolling with Crabtree and Devery Henderson.

Unfortunately Tony friggin Scheffler's being benched along with Brandon Marshall so I have to roll with Gates who'll probably play a series or 2! Ugh. Sad

Chargers team defense is in...unless of course the Vikings lose in the early game, then the Cards need the win so I'd play the Cards D in that case.

So, long story short, whadday think the new odds for my matchup are?Huh??

Rodgers (or Leinart)           vs.  Garrard
Peterson and J. Stewart     vs.  Gore and J. Harrison
Crabtree and D. Henderson  vs.  Boldin and Wayne
Gates                                    vs.  Witten
K. Brown                               vs.  Gould
Charger D (or Cards)            vs. Titans D
p.s. I think I'm in trouble.  Cry

By the way, congrats to gilee for winning the HTGTH/GNRevo fantasy league playoffs.  A dominant playoff run with 2 blowout victories the last 2 weeks.

Nice job bringing the trophy back to HTGTH.

did u win? I know GOre and Harrison had big days for your opponent.

Unfortunately, I went down hard.  The day started great with Stewart running one in from 67 yards out!  However, Frank fuckin Gore scored 2 td's in the 4th quarter (one very late in the game), and his qb Garrard drove the Jags 80 yards for a worthless td in a loss to the Browns.  God dammit!   hihi

Now, my team's salary cap is killing me, I've got lots of decisions to make...once I send out all the prize checks, get organized...I'll be asking for some advice on how I should manage my cap.   peace

p.s. might I suggest to Gilee, under your picture:  Here Today...as the 2009 HTGTH Fantasy Football Champion!
