I heard there's an ad running on TV for this festival with Axl and GN'R on the spotlight Smiley Haven't seen it yet, but I hope it's something better than the 2006 TV-promo.

This article is mostly about the Finnish football fans complaining about this festival ruining the grass, but it also says that the capacity is 40 000 (and that's the amount of tickets coming on sale on wednesday), but the promoter has asked for a permission for a larger capacity, which would probably be 70 000. There is also 6-8 international names to be announced.. I think they'll announce some of them before the tickets go on sale

Them Crooked Vultures

Hopefully Skunk Asansie and Prodigy aren't true, im crossing my fingers. AIC and Them Crooked Vultures could be better if i had to choose. Hopefully there will be more bands from 80's, like in Sweden Rock Festival, that's my biggest hope.  ok

So more acts to come early this week, tickets on sale wednesday.

on a more practical note, i've heard finland is expensive for beer - how many euros am i talkin for a large beer? Guessing pints are out of the question!

Some top tips on good cheap bars would be massively appreciated!

I'm not an expert on beer but I bet that inside the festival area you have to pay 6-8 euros for beer. But in the bars on the town you can find places that sell large beers (0,5 litres) even for 2 e. 4 euros is probably the average price in bars.

Helsinki live is no2 of the 10 most popular events on the "lippu"-site. Is it on sale? I've tried phoning but that service is not available in Sweden. When I click on the event all information is in finnish. Please inform on how to best proceed to buy a ticket! I would be most grateful. Thank you in advance/Mats

No it's not on sale yet, it starts tomorrow at 9am. I don't know why it's in the top-10 Tongue But check it out again tomorrow morning! If you can't see the page in Swedish, just click "Osta liput HELSINKI LIVE 2010 - K?pyl?n urheilupuisto, Helsinki" and you'll be taken to a page where you can buy your tickets (and that page should be in Swedish)..

I also have like 5 hour drive from eastern Finland, but it's worth it!  ok

TOMORROW i will hopefully have tickets bought for me and my sister, im soooooo excited right now, my first GNR concert is coming closer and 6 -year dream could be fulfilled this time.  Cool

Online ticket buyers should prepare themselves that the ticket store will work extremely slowly and will crash down all the time. That has "always" happened with lippu.fi when a big concert is coming and the ticket sales open. This time it's not even Guns alone, but for some hugely stupid reason also Pink tickets start selling there at the same time...

That's true. You can also buy tickets from www.tiketti.fi, but I don't know if it's any better. I'm going with the phone, I think it's the safest Tongue
