Jarmo, could you add me too please.

It would be nice to meet a few people off the board too, I'm sure we could arrange some sort of a meeting.

Can't wait for this, after Toronto it will be nice to see them in a festival atmosphere again just like Lisbon and Donnington in 06.  Smiley

Ok so I've decided to go even though my mates can't make it!

Trouble is, I don't finish work until 6 and Reading's a 2 hour drive for me.

Am I right in thinking Gnr won't be on until around 9.30/10 ish?

I always see people who decide not to go to see GN'R because they can't get their mates to go. I have been to many shows by myself and have enjoyed them all the more. When your at a GN'R show even at a festival, your never on your own. I always feel totally comfortable and happy around GN'R fans, more than my own family.

So don't let whether your friends are going determine if you are or not. You made the right choice 'Chinese...good choice', GN'R are going to rock these festivals.

So I'm about to get my ticket off eBay, are the sellers right in saying that tickets won't be sent until about 2 weeks before the gig?

The official ticket sellers begin sending tickets out mid or late June, which can strech up until a few weeks before the show. If anything they are streching the timeline to give them time to recieve the tickets and send them on to you so to speak.

But I myself have not recieved my official tickets yet, and I'm certain that's the case with the majority.

(But I can't speak about Ebay sellers as they can be anyone, and alot of fake ticket selling has been going on this year. So my advice is if you have to resort to looking for second hand tickets, do your research and be extra cautious.)

You're right. Tickets in England are shipped only weeks before the actual show, to prevent exactly what is happening to you now: Re-selling. I hope that they're not ripping you off on E-bay.

I don't know what you are looking for, but it it's day tickets, you might still be able to get them via the official site. I was still able to order one last week. Weekend tickets are no more though.

Well, after vowing not to do any more festivals and holding out for solo dates, my willpower finally gave out and I relented and bought a ticket - thanks Julia, you're a star   Kiss

Of course, Sod's Law now dictates that a whole raft of UK dates will be announced in the next week or so.  Damn you, your charismatic ways and my obsession, Axl Rose!  Wink  Grin

It was probably one of the best performances I have seen by GN'R, made only better by the joint unision of GN'R and the audience at the end.

The band started with Chinese, Jungle, ISE, Brownstone, not a better combo in my opinion. And then during more slower songs like November Rain, just showcased their musicianship skills, not missing a note.

Then the ending, last song was Nightrain, after which the festival took it upon themselves to cut the power supply.
But GN'R had the last laugh with a funny, yet emotional one on one with the audience. We didn't need the festivals' gear to enjoy GN'R and have a laugh, and Axl showed us all why he is just so special.  Wink

Everyone who was there with GN'R at the end, witnessed something really special. It was just out of this world having Guns there onstage with no power, just sitting there with the audience.

And then Bumble got out the acoustic, and Frank walked around all sides of the stage, getting everybody to clap. It was one of those moments that will never happen again.

The mud at the site was really bad, not so much the main stage area. But getting around the site as a whole was like walking in quicksand mud. But I would not change a thing, and would do it all again if it meant seeing GN'R rock.  Wink
