It's not like these arenas have events every night, especially once basketball ends. It wouldn't be hard for someone to make up a fake tour without hitting many event conflicts.

true, but the actual routing of it,  having all those arenas being empty where it makes sense  to point of travelling, its quite impressive, which means someone has too much free time.

Seems fake as hell to me, there are a few very questionable locations on that list. Also I can't see GN'R sticking 1 Canadian date in on this tour, especially when they toured there in 2010.

Just my opinion, but it looks like the person who organised this list, left some schoolboy errors in the detail.  yes

The one Toronto date actually makes more sense than you would think, Toronto is practically in the United States, and is a popular destination for bands who are on an American tour...but as we all know nothing is official until its official, so we will see.  There also seems to be far too many NY area dates on there.

Rumor at this point I would say

Yeah, the headline says rumour:  Rumour: GN'R - Chinese Democracy 2011 North American Tour Dates

But hopefully it looks something like this. Smiley

The fact the thread lives is a decent sign.

I just think they gotta announce it soon to get things rolling.

what people easily forget is, GNR did fantastic in 2002 and 2006 in Big Markets. Maybe not so much in the smaller markets but the big markets they still dominated.

so do a big market tour.

Personally I think those dates are either (a) bullshit, or (b) an earlier plan.

I'm hopeful something similar will happen though, Axl knows the band has momentum on its side at the moment.

Sorry, but that doesn't really mean anything in this case.

They've got too much free time or they just copied another big band's recent tour route. Actually they got too much free time in that case too.

haha I know, but for all the arenas except for 2 to be available, its slightly impressive..no matter how much of a loser someone who would make that up is...

I'd be very surprised if they played Philly.

Why not??  That incident was so damn long ago.  It's time to move on and gain Philly's love again.

me too...weren't there lawsuits from before? didn't think they were resolved yet

I can't believe any lawsuits from Philly are still pending from 2002 or 2003-it would not take 8 years to settle.

um.. no.  These dates are made up.  A simple check on the places this claims they are playing shows that some places already have events posted
Yeah I checked all the dates and there were 2 discrepencies.

only 2 of the shows out of 30?  Either there is some shred of truth to this rumor or somebody is really good at routing a fake tour in arenas that happen to be empty..i would hope someone doesn't have that much free time, but it wouldnt shock me these days...

was thinking the exact same thing!!! who knows !!!  no

There are two Canadian dates in that list, and it makes sense - GN'R always sells a ton of tickets in Toronto, it's a big market, and Vancouver, well they haven't been since 2002 you know... and that didn't exactly happen.

Not saying this list is legit, could have been a tentative plan. I'd definitely be going to the Toronto show. But the lead in time for sales is tight, I'd rather they push it back a month.
