edit: Jarmo, I'm not sure if you'd like to add this, but people can also fly into Bishop Airport in Flint. It's about the same drive as Detroit Metro is from The Palace and people also claim to get far better flight rates when flying in and out of there.

Wow, I think I might be going to this one! I have a family sweet 16 party in South Carolina on the 3rd, so I might leave from Providence, RI on the 1st to Detroiit or Flint(wateva is cheaper). Then ill leave the next day to South Carolina. Then go back to RI on Sunday. I gotta find a way to leave work early on Thursday. Any ideas?Huh lol  I'll figure something out  ok
Ill post when is for sure... BTW, Ive never been to Detroit, only have had connecting flights. My girl is excited altho she is not a fan...

I've always heard people say that flying into Bishop (in Flint) is far cheaper when taking shorter flights.
