Got my ticket today, if I see a coin thrower. He's getting his head to play with. Fact.

I'm attending this purely to defend GN'R's honour from the coin throwers of Newcastle, hows that for loyalty.  hihi

Seriously, brought my ticket last night so it would be cool to get added to the list.

I'll be here as well, good thing I checked on here though, because I was under the impression the gig was on the Thursday rofl (anyway, yeah, I'll be there on Wednesday and hoping to see all of you!)

So where is the best place to have a pre-show drink you Newcastle folk.  hihi

Looking forward to this already and head to Newcastle tomorrow, staying at the Jurys Inn, which is really close to the venue. If anyone wants to meet up for a drink, just PM me, or post in this thread... the more people the better.  Smiley

Cool, hopefully we can meet somehow..... me and BurnDizzy might be hitting a few bars for some drinks beforehand, so all forum members are welcome to hang out. I'm guessing there's a few bars around the area, so just PM me, or post here the day of the show to see what everyones up to.

The weather is going to be sunny, so what better way to wait for GN'R, than to have a few drinks in the sun.  Smiley

Anyone heard anything about this rumoured "first band" who are meant to be on the bill. I haven't heard anything beyond Thin Lizzy in the way of support - according to the Metro Arena, they'd scheduled for an unnamed third band to join the bill and open the gig....

I've not heard anything regarding opening bands other than Thin Lizzy. My guess is that it's going to be some local band, who half of the audience won't even see because they will be at the bar, or still not at the venue yet.

Just remembering what a great gig this was, especially the ease with which we were able to meet the guys going in and out of the venue

Also got the chance to meet the great Jarmo too smoking

Totally agree, one of my favourite GN'R shows in terms of the whole experience and showday. This was the show in which I got to meet the great Frank Ferrer, what a class act he was with all of us asking for photos and autographs.  Grin

Was also a great experience watching Frank come through the crowd, and watch the whole of Thin Lizzys set, rocking out and such.  Smiley
