You could also just put a lot of the songs out as singles after release. Like they did with UYI. Also, having videos is important in the age of Youtube. I think CD would have done better if they actually made videos. It's funny because Axl was all about videos with UYI, but then did none for CD.

Yes, you can put out singles after an album is released and it will create some buzz among those who didn't listen to the album.

But if there's no album out, no one heard the single.

Thank you for sharing. Interesting. The 30th anniversary Use Your Illusion box set was mentioned to be released around the same time (Summer) by Slash, correct?

Well my understanding was that The General hasn’t leaked yet. I’ve heard the poor quality cellphone recording from 2010 and Evader’s take on that. Am I wrong?

Someone pointed out that part of Eye on You was actually used in Hard Skool, so it seems the song may have been repurposed.

So what do you guys think, we will get a new album by the end of the year or will we get a bunch of singles? I’m hoping for a new album released by the end of the year. Time will tell.

No one knows for sure. We can only guess. I’m thinking Illusion box set this summer (mentioned by Slash in interview) with a remastered never before released single (not mentioned by Slash ha!). Played during tour. Maybe a single here and there throughout this year’s tour.

It’s better to enjoy what we have in front of us. Looking forward to reading and following the upcoming tour.
