New, weekly video series sponsored by Ernie Ball, takes fans inside the studio as Slash and his conspirators lay down the music for their next album.

The band is splitting their time between NRG Studios in Los Angeles and Studio Barbarossa in Florida as they write, play, create and record the new record.

Yeas, I saw this yesterday. I hope they keep doing like this, showing the tracks being recorded, the gear they use etc. Also, it is very nice the fact that the band is so tight that they are playing all together. I don't think Velvet Revolver ever did that when actually recording.

It is still not Duff and Matt, but this band is really good.  peace

Just finished watching part 2. This series is really building up to be very nice and I hope they put the whole thing on the deluxe edition of the new album. Slash is really in tune with Todd, and it seems clearer now than ever that Velvet Revolver is dead and buried.

I think that whenever Slash misses playing with Duff and Matt from now on they'll simply play together at Camp Freddy or with the Kings of Chaos thing.

I'm guessing they will, based on the fact that they did the last 2 times.  ok

Agreed. I think Brent and Todd make an amazing rhythm section.

Slash was interviewed at SXSW and he said that the record will be out in September, with the 1st single dropping in June.  beer

Watching these clips I can't help but feel a little bit bummed that the current incarnation of GN'R will (most likely) not be going in this direction. That being, recording a mostly live, genuine rock record on tape with a producer who knows what it's about. And every snippet of riff that is played seems way fuckin' more rad than anything I've heard in a long time.

This is good. Seems more diverse and experimental with this alter bridge producer than the previous releases

These are getting a little self congratulatory. Still cool, but not much there.

Yea I don't pay much attention to pre-album hype. I wind up enjoying everything slash puts out but if you were judging by the hype they spew you would think they are recording the next Sgt. Pepper every album!
