A NEW DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE ELECTRIC GUITAR WILL FEATURE SLASH, JERRY CANTRELL

Rock ?n? roll wouldn?t be rock ?n? roll without the electric guitar. Now, a new documentary is paying tribute to the electric six-string, and an A-list roster of guitarists are part of it.

The film, named ?Turn It Up!? will feature Slash and Alice in Chains? Jerry Cantrell honoring their choice instrument. The full-length movie, which is narrated by actor Kevin Bacon, will arrive on Blu-ray and DVD on Jan. 22.

On top of Slash and Cantrell, other musicians tapped for ?Turn It Up!? are Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5, KISS? Paul Stanley and Heart?s Nancy Wilson. The film also includes one of late blues guitarist B.B. King?s last interviews.

In other news, this is set to be a huge year for Slash. Eighties hard rock band Guns N? Roses recently announced they will reunite at Coachella in April with a headlining performance. So far, Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan are the original band members confirmed for the reunion.

I saw a clip of this on premier guitar... He tells the story of the Joe Perry 1959 Les Paul he owned for a bit.
