BST Hyde Park line up - Friday June 30th at Hyde Park in London, UK: Guns N' Roses, The Pretenders, The Darkness & Larkin Poe

/jarmo

A good, very balanced,  line-up. Chrissie Hynde is a giggle for a chat, a bit nutty.

The Pretenders did a show with GN'R in Belgium in 2017. The Darkness did some shows with GN'R in 2017.

 Cool

I'd be pretty disappointed if for a major headlining Hyde park act I'd be bringing the Pretenders. Just saying

They predate GN'R, but they're legends in their own right and time. Only act cooler would be Patti Smith.

Why not? He sang on their new album in 2020 and was rehearsing for shows before covid hit. I doubt they'd even ask Axl on for a song, they're not the type of band that does special guests and a decent chunk of their fans really hate Axl and still have a bad taste in their mouth because it was looking like the last AC/DC shows ever would not have had Brian on vocals, but instead Axl. That said, many other fans like myself thought Axl was incredible and showed the utmost respect in his stint with them.

Will Brian Johnson be singing for AC/DC?

By all accounts, AC/DC's classic lineup will be performing: Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd, with Stevie Young continuing in place of his late uncle Malcolm.

How are ticket sales going?  Still sluggish?  Personally, I think social media has sold all the tickets it's going to.  I think they probably need to push Axl into traffic.  He's the attention getter.  Get him in front of the ticket sales that don't follow the band on social media.  Drag him around the block a few times.  He'd probably hate that.
