GUNS N' ROSES Deny Plot To Keep SLASH Away From Previous Shows
Former GUNS N' ROSES lead guitarist Slash made headlines when he was reportedly banned from GNR's pair of December 2001 shows at the Joint At The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Security guards there told reporters that frontman Axl Rose had ordered Slash be kept out of the concerts.

But keyboardist Dizzy Reed, who's been with GNR since 1990, says that to his knowledge, there was never any decision to keep Slash or any of the other former GNR members away from the current band's shows:

"Personally, I don't know if that's true. I heard that he (Slash) might be there, and the general consensus amongst all of us, including Axl, was, 'Whatever. If he wants to come out...I mean, whatever,' " he said. "I don't know what happened, but I saw a funny cartoon — in, like, FHM magazine or something — of a little caricature of Slash getting kicked out (laughs) of the House Of Blues, or wherever we were playing — the Hard Rock Cafe, sorry. It was probably just a big rumor. I don't know anything about that, to be honest."
