CD update from Dizzy + GN'R mention in Aftonbladet + Sweet Child O' Mine solo mentioned in Guitar One + Gilby with Heart
Dizzy was playing a show with the Starfuckers at The Gig in Hollywood, CA on New Year's Eve.

Apparently when asked about the release of Chinese Democracy by a fan, he said that the band is trying to get it out within the next few months.

GN'R was mentioned in today's edition of the Swedish daily newspaper Aftonbladet. It was an article about the year 2003 and GN'R was mentioned as the wrecked tour of the year.

This is from Guitar One magazine's February 2004 Issue:

10. “Statesboro Blues” Duane Allman

9. “Sweet Child O’ Mine” Slash - While Axl whined, swayed, and sashayed like Stevie Wonder around his mic stand, wondering where to go next (he’s still wondering, by the way), Slash laid back with his Les Paul, patiently waiting his turn in the spotlight. Then, with his blistering ascent up the E harmonic minor scale - which kicks the second guitar solo of this tune into high gear - the mad top-hatter single-handedly breathed new life into the wah-pedal sales.

8. “Crossroads” Eric Clapton
7. “Crazy Train” Randy Rhoads
6. “Stairway to Heaven” Jimmy Page
5. “Sultans of Swing” Mark Knopfler
4. “Freebird” Gary Rossington and Allen Collins
3. “Eruption” Eddie Van Halen
2. “All Along the Watchtower” Jimi Hendrix
1. “Little Wing” Stevie Ray Vaughan

As you might have heard, Gilby is recording a new studio album with Heart and he's also going on an European tour with them this summer.

Over at annandnancy.com, they have pictures from last summer's tour. For example. pics of Gilby at Graceland.
