Axl has never brought in anything but superb guitar players to Guns N' Roses, and DJ is no exception. Great style and excellent feel. I hated seeing Robin go, but I had every faith in Axl choosing the guy to fill his shoes and I was not let down. Here's to DJ!  beer

Congratulations on your debut. I never heard of you before May 2009, I researched a little and I liked it, but I always believed the choices of Axl and I'm glad you joined the family Guns N Roses.
I'm anxious to see you playing live in Brazil.
I like your site very much, Ashbaland "Music for Demented Mind", this environment is good for me ...
I wish much success today in Seoul and all future shows.

I've been a fan of DJ since the first Beautiful Creatures CD - so, when it was announced that he was the new guitarist, well - my reaction was pretty much this:  drool

Have you folks heard DJ's solo from the Asian tour?  God damn!  What song is that?  It's fucking beautiful!  No offense to Robin, but his solos came off as a bit more disjointed, and to my ears a little less melodic. 
This guy is fucking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe so. He wrote it for GN'R's Asia Tour. Apparently he posted the info on his Facebook page. I tried to friend him to see it myself but his friend's list was full. But some have seen it.

He wrote:
"The Ballad Of Death" Is a piece of music that I wrote specifically for the Guns N' Roses Tour.

I asked someone who is one of his 'facebook friends' and they told me that's all he says about it plus he posted the youtube link.  No story or lyrics.
