For those who may be interested, Baz gave an interview in which he stated, "I think Dr. Pepper owes me a free case of soda," while referring to Axl/CD.  Perhaps (1) he believes the record will be out this year (in accordance with the conditions put forth by Dr. Pepper) or (2), Dr. Pepper's debt to him is due to Axl appearing on three Angel Down tracks... Huh

I remember seeing Baz live after C-Band was released and thinking what a mistake VR made not going w/ him....Baz also made a joke about his solo album taking so long but it will be out before Axl's album...

During the interview, Bach was asked if there is any truth to the rumors that he is being considered for the lead-singer position in VELVET REVOLVER following that group's recent split with Scott Weiland.

"I've talked to Slash [VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist] recently," Sebastian revealed. "I think it'd be really awkward for me to join that band. Number one, my new record, 'Angel Down', I like it more than VELVET REVOLVER records. That's just being totally honest. I love GUNS N' ROSES material, but I've got my own old songs ? SKID ROW ? so for me, it would all depend on music. I wouldn't just join the band just to join the band. If we came up with some incredible new songs, then maybe I'd think about it, but honestly, I'm very close friends with Axl [Rose, GUNS N' ROSES singer], and he sings three songs on my new record. I think Dr. Pepper owes me a case of free soda. [Laughs] [Referring to the Dr. Pepper soft drink company's announcement that it will offer a free can of its signature soda to 'everyone in America' if GN'R releases its long-delayed new album, 'Chinese Democracy', in 2008 ? Ed.] Axl's been so nice to me ? he's helped me out my whole career. In SKID ROW he helped us out, and in my solo band he brought me around the world, and then sang three songs on my new CD, which is pretty mind-blowing. I don't know? He wanted to join originally. He tried out, and didn't make it.

Not joining because of Angel Down is stupid. The record didn't sell. VR pack venues on their own... Baz doesn't. The only reason we, society even, know about it is because Axl is on it. That's it. Not because Baz is still significant in music today. He's not.

He should join and make some money.

can you see him singing a song like Slither or Fall to Pieces?   Its not his thing.  Angel Down is and while it didn't sell well, sometimes staying true to what you like and what you're about is more important than making more money.

bach would be an asset to VR, looks like it isnt going to happen, slim chance of it happening anyway

i could just imagine hime singing headspace, or sucker train blues it would rock the shit!!!

art is subjective. but those songs are no where near as good as Skid Row. Baz is smoking crack if he thinks that's the case.
