Ha, not happening. As Mysteron said, Oct. 24th is too soon so don't even begin to think that Sep. is a possibility. Even if they decided to not announce a release date (how stupid would that be?), the retail establishments and other "insiders" would leak the info out.

I'm just guessing here, but I don't think the Greensboro Coliseum people really have a clue (about when the album will drop).  It'd sure be great though!

Although I doubt the notion that a web site for Greensboro Coliseum knows first hand information of when Democracy will be released, it does make me hopeful!!!!  I might dance a little too (but not with a shaved monkey)...

Probably won't get us anywhere, anyway.  I tried the same thing with Spencer Gifts when that little "Chinese Democracy in stores this fall" was on their artist of the month ad.  Haven't heard back from them.

Maybe "later in the month" refers to the month that the show is taking place.

i remember reading some time ago that the marketing will be something like a black screan on tv, then the GNR logo and the "in 3 days at stores around the world" (or 2 days, or tomorrow, dont remember)... just a rumor I think some years ago

Anyways, I don't expect the CD to be released until sometime in November. I'm sure many writers will try to work some corny "November Rain" joke into every article when/if the CD actually comes out that month.

CD can't be released without a date. Even if the management wouldn't tell it to normal people, someone would.

Maybe that would make sense, during the break they could be recording the video (maybe using footage from the warm up shows - new song/better?), and getting everything ready for the album before they go on a big ass tour.

Release a single on 24th, and the album a couple of weeks later.

In the past few days alone, I've read three major magazines with cover and/or lead stories about the big ablum releases for the fall and holiday season.  If CD is in fact going to be out this year, it's a shame that it hasn't been announced in order to be a part of these "big" stories...

I would LOVE to believe this is a solid piece of info but without a statement from the band or its management and the ten MILLION other rumors about the release of CD, I ain't gettin' too excited....these people are full of shit ::)......I hope I am wrong........ :peace:

FWIW, yesterday I saw these signs up around town. Black sign with a blue 'Play' button, only saying "Press Play".. It turned out, P Diddy was in town, and he is promoting his new album. I'm pretty sure they said he just announced it's release date yesterday, and it's October 24th. So it is possible to have a large release & marketing & promo done in just over a months time.

I'm no P Diddy fan, although i think he is pretty current. I'm simply not sure how current Guns n'Roses are. Maybe the promotion will not be all that big for CD, maybe CD will hit the shops along with the usual ads in various music publications  :peace:
