I don't know if you were asking for the line-up but it was (at least on those tracks):

- Chris Weber (guitar)
- Johnny Kreis (drums)
- Andre Toxx (bass)

Whatever happened to these guys?  Are they in another band now?

And who is the blond guy on the left in the cover?

Yeah, i was gonna ask the same. Wonder if they've done anything else...

- Chris Weber (guitar)
- Johnny Kreis (drums)
- Andre Toxx (bass)

- Chris Weber sued Axl Rose in February 1998. MTV did a story (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1429805/19980206/story.jhtml) on it, some quotes of the story are pretty interesting, regarding this HR release:

Last year (1997) reports surfaced that Weber was planning on releasing Hollywood Rose material and that Rose had blocked him from doing so. But Weber told press sources that he didn't want to release the old tapes, and that he had only called Guns manager Doug Goldstein to let him know he had them but was immediately warned he would not be allowed to release any of the material.

G N' R manager Doug Goldstein told the "L.A. Daily News" that he's talked with all his clients and they all deny that Weber co-wrote the songs. One of the songs, says Goldstein, was written before Rose and Weber even knew each other. Ehrlich, however, says he has video to prove it, which Goldstein told the paper he has never been seen. Ehrlich says he has now sent it to Axl Rose.

It wouldn't surprise me if Weber gave out those tracks and the pics included on the CD artwork.

- Johnny Kreis is apparently always looking for a job. He tells a little bit about him on his website:

I have played in many bands since then, spaning different rock and metal styles, The Hard Rock bands I played with are:
Bad Boys, Striker, (not to be mistaken with Stryper) in which the band Shire opened up for Stryper at the Music Machine in Santa Monica and in Costa Mesa in the early 80's and finally HarmsWay, Harmsway being my last band I was in, I could say was my best band with the original music style of Night Ranger and Van Halen,....(Speaking of Van Halen), another believe it or not fact that in the early to mid 70's, my dad Richard Kreis played Bass, in a polka band and jamming in the german bars and clubs around town, the band consisted of Ria Van Der Berg- Singer, (Accordion)
Richard Kreis - JK's Daddy) on (Bass), Jan Van Halen (VH's Dad) on (Clarinet) ( And One of my favorite Drummers........
(Who my Heavy Metal music career was inspired by)...Alex Van Halen

He says he met Izzy Stradlin (again) in may 2003 -- first time since early 80's when the band split up.

He says the first bassist of HR was Rick Marrs and the second one was Andre Troxx (or Toxx? lots of different sp.)

Johnny also says:

I still play my drums, but not with the intentions of making it big, I play drums for a Dutch-Indonesian Amercian band called SoundsUnlimited with my dad and we play more of the older style music, to the older audiences, and I love to design wierd but cool microweb sites like this one, digital design is an art, just like playing drums!

His website: http://laserfire.com/hollywoodrose/index.html

- Andre Toxx (Troxx?): I've got no info about what he's been up to...

The blond guy on the left on the cover has got to be Chris Weber (Andre and Johnny were not blond).

Thanks, Will!

Guess this means there won't be a reunion of theoriginal GNR---HR Cheesy

BTW- if Kreiss was the original drummer, how could he have only met izzy in 2003?
Or did he leave before Axl and Izzy joined?

I'm sorry about the confusion, I edited my post. I meant it was the first time he saw Izzy since the band split up.

First, I will definitely purchase this. I'm more excited about this than the VR release. I've never heard Killing Time or Rocker -- that will be a thrill! Axl's early voice is the gnarliest, so anything with that is worth buying.

However, it's hilarious that they are including separate Gilby Clarke and Fred Coury remixes for all five songs (!!!). That means 15 tracks with only 5 different songs. Fred Coury to my knowedge was never in any version of the band (I think his drummer filled in for Steven a few times) and Gilby was merely a touring member of the band for two years (yes he played on TSI, but that was a covers record--big deal), so he was hardly a vital member of any version of the band (I think Paul Huge probably even trumps Gilby, considering he wrote the guitar for OMG).

But that is classic Cleopatra (the label releasing it) behavior. They always do weird shit like that (like the industrial remixes on their GNR tribute album).

In summary: I will buy this right away.

Wasn't Zakk Wylde in for like 2 seconds but he and Slash were suppsedly like a Giant Snake and a T-Rex or something, i guess Dave Navarro and Gary Sunshine on 'Oh My God' don't count do they although they got more to show than some 'Members' who have failed to feature on anyone released tracks, and if you're gonna include Teddy Zig Zag how about Tracey and Roberta, they even get mentioned during 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door' on 'Live Era '87-'93' hihi

I think thats an early Guns N Roses line up, don't think Tracii was ever a part of Hollywood Rose, when he appeared on the secene things became Guns N Roses

To think Tracii Guns contributes his name to GNR and yet will never be known by even the majority of GNR fans.....
