Chemistry Is Everything For Velvet Revolver's Slash And Duff
(LAUNCH, 08/23/2004 3:00 PM)

By LAUNCH Radio Networks

No one in Velvet Revolver has shared as much history together as lead guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. Ever since they first played together in Guns N' Roses, Slash told LAUNCH that he and McKagan have had an undeniable chemistry.

"When we first met, Duff came in with, for one, just the greatest f--king work ethic," Slash said, "and a kind of personality that's just totally resilient, which sort of mirrors what I'm about. And then as far as being a player, he has an approach that just goes right in sync with what I do as a guitar player, and we just hit it off as friends, as musicians, ever since the beginning, and it stayed all the way through this whole time."

"Fall To Pieces" is the second and latest single from Velvet Revolver's platinum debut album, Contraband.

The band is currently hitting the European circuit, but will be home in time to play at the Voodoo Music Experience on October 17 in New Orleans. A full North American tour is in the works for the rest of October and November.
