Gn'R 'greatest hits' on billboard.com vs Velvet Revolver:
With no publicity, no new songs, a bleak and 'boring' album cover, GNR does better than Velver Revolver.

Velver Revolver, the self proclaimed last 'real dangerous rock n' roll' band is sinking fast because they haven't made anything interesting, it seems that they used their past rock n' roll bands popularity to make a fast buck. (Guns N' Roses, Stone Temple Pilots).

Guns N' Roses, Greatest Hits
Geffen | 001714 | Interscope | (12.98 CD)
This week: 31
Last week: 22
Weeks on chart: 23
Peak position:   3

Velvet Revolver, Contraband
RCA | 59794* | RMG | (18.98 CD)
This week: 34
Last week: 30
Weeks on chart: 12
Peak position:   1

Its not a race or a competition

Shit like Robbie Williams best of will beat them both, sales are for people so insecure about their musical preference they shouldn't be listening to it in the first place.....

That's true, even Britney will beat VR, or any other shit for that matter.

But you forgot the part where i said GNR had NO publicity, NO press articles, while VR was everywhere, had good press articles, 'the return of Rock N' Roll',
'The last 'real' dangerous rock and roll band in the world' etc etc

They will beat again the Greatest Hits when they'll have a new glossy video.

If not no one will remember them in a year or two.

I am still listening to Contraband and enjoying it very much.  If you don't enjoy it, I really couldn't  give a flying fu*k.

velvet Revolver's fucking awesome and gn'r is an empty shell of what it used 2 be without the old members. It's simply not gn'r, on the other hand V.R. is doing really good i even bought their album and it's fucking great! GN'R BEATS VR? pff yeah right, the only way i could see Guns being as good as they were in before is if Axl and the rest of the original gunners reunite!!!!
