"Team Digital: Speaking of crazy, rumour has it you rocked Axl Rose's piano when you were recording in LA...

James: Yeah, we were in a studio called 'The Village' where Axl has been for the past ten months recording. There's this big theatre room that used to belong to the Maharishi. The Beatles used to go and pray in there and stuff. Now it's this big rehearsal space where Guns 'N Roses rehearses and there's this big man-sized chicken coop where their guitar player Bucket Head goes when they're jamming. And there's this big grand piano where Axl plays and so we just kinda snuck in there and mic'ed it up and started hammering away on the piano, figuring we could steal some of Axl's 'mojo.'"

In talking to members of the Canadian band Finger Eleven - they were at the Village doing some recording and saw the coop and also saw Buckethead outside when they were smoking.  They told me the situation was bizarre to say the least. They also claim they heard unfinished cuts of a song they had to describe to me (Sounded like Madagascar but I am not sure) and that it sounded really good. Before you jump the gun, I don't believe they were invited in to hear the song, but that they did hear it.  I should have asked for more clarification.

Theres many things about a person that may lead others to think they are "strange" .. axl for instance used to love swimming with dolphins and wear kilts onstage .. someone like slash used to own over 20 domestic cats and hundreds upon hundreds of snakes all in his house at once. Some might deem that strange behaviour too.

Let's say these guys were videotaping the recordings .. the coop they built woulda come off really cool on video and really add to Buckets characther , ya know?

Yeah , it's strange .. but it's also pretty much standard rock n roll hijinxs.
