Hey, tophdaddy22 has a few good points there.  Personally, I think Scott is definitely a better live performer at the moment; in his electric Iggy Pop-style prancing, there's a lot of the charisma of the old Axl.  I don't see why people can't accept a little valid criticism of the new GN'R.

I don't think saying that Scott is a better live performer than Axl is valid criticism. Sorry that I can't accept that. There's a lot I can accept, but that is just fucking ridiculous in my opinion.

Lets just do a scenario here:       A crowd the size of Rock in Rio..... 2 stages on opposite ends - one featuring Scott one featuring Axl - which one do you think is gonna have more people at it?

You've got to be smokin more than crack if you think Scott's a better frontman than AXL! SHIT! If I know Axl,  he laughs at that little faggot. I'd be embarrassed to have him front my band. Thats my opinion and no motherfuckers gonna change my mind , fuck off.

Huh?? Ok, Let me explain, I do not like Scott,  he sucks in my book, there's no comparison with Axl today or yesterday.  Your STONED! why argue. He's not competing with VR, when did Axl come out and say he could'nt compete with VR? I've never heard such inadequate info. Are you sure your still a GNR fan?

I'm not saying that Scott is better than Axl in the past.  Nobody can touch the young Axl Rose.  But I think that RIGHT NOW, if you compare the two, Scott is a far more electric performer.  He's got the moves, the cool rock 'n' roll look, and the vocal power.  Axl can still wail alright (except at the VMAs...the opening scream marvelously excluded), but he can't run around without getting out of breath anymore, and the braids, sports jerseys and botox make him look like a middle-aged hippie dad trying to look hip in the eyes of his rap-loving kids and failing miserably.

Lets just do a scenario here: A crowd the size of Rock in Rio..... 2 stages on opposite ends - one featuring Scott one featuring Axl - which one do you think is gonna have more people at it?

People would go to Axl just because he was a bigger star back in the day and he's seen so rarely.  It would be like if you were taking a hike and you saw a deer on one side of the forest and Bigfoot on another.  Which one sparks your interest more?

The bigfoot would spark my interest  but in this case I'd go by the deer as it wouldn't kill me.

We have a difference of opinion on whose the better performer, but that's what makes the world go around. I do appreciate your well thought out post and responses. It's nice when it isn't just "you suck" and it's actually a discussion.

That same VMA performance you mentioned, during madagascar, I think Axls vocals are as beautiful and strong as they've ever been.
