I just got a mail from the Rock im Park newsletter. It says "Limp Bizkit cancel Germany tour, will be replaced by surprise headliner at Ring and in Park". The "surprise headliner(s?)" is/are supposed to play friday, june 03 at Rock im Park (Nuremburg), and sunday, june 05 (both times right after VR) at N?rburgring.

I'm not saying it's Gn'R (most probably isn't), but who the fuck knows.

 peace

(Rock im Park / Rock am Ring are twin festivals taking place in Germany, Gn'r were supposed to headline the 2001 festivals but the dates got cancelled as we know)

PS: I checked dates for Richard and the other guys, they seem to be available on those dates.

Not cream or motley crue...

Be sure to post how new gnr will close the MTV music Awards, or how the movie madagascar is a sign..

I'm just breaking balls, I am skeptical because it always seems like some suprise headliner is going to play some show and it's never axl & company..

Here's to wishing beer
I thought limp broke up anyways a while back..

I would love to believe it but every year we get the "surprise performance" could it be? will it be GNR?  I doubt it.

On the website, the promoter says: "The mysterious headliner is one of the biggest rockbands in Germany."

Scorpions

Why do people always assume of the 10 million bands in the world, that when there is a 'surprise act' it will be GNR?

For all the optimists I have to say that I think there's a bigger chance that GN'R would play Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park than some bar in Georgia.  hihi

Geez, don't be such a smartass! Roll Eyes

There's no way they're gonna play there because they have disappeared from the face of earth since RIR4's cancellation, no news, no update on the album, no release date, no tour, not one concert, so I find it highly unlikely they'd play at a german festival (or any festival or concert for that matter), out of the blue...I'm guessing they're gonna do an actual come back soon, but not as "replacement" headliner.

Is that good enough? "Tongue"

There is no way Axl would play a show that VR is playing espeically if they were going to play right after them.

not to mention right now, gnr is in no way bigger than vr.  they have the ability to be when the album is released, but currently, vr has had several successful singles, two successful tours, and a band that has won a grammy.  gnr has been silent for a few years.  so they would not be headlining over vr.
