probably duncans, i guess. Alnico II's or 59's maybe.

I like the finish a lot.

are they push/pull pots?

Yeah epis need refretting. my epi was refretted once and it was done crappy so i had them finished and they are good (its for sale PM me if you're interested). I have new pots on mine too and they sure do help the sound.

In what way? You mean you got push/pull for coil tapping?

No i have just new pots that are sweeter than the overseas crap they put in epiphones. The tone is significantly better (that plus no p/up covers)

So you don't normally play with the volume and tone turned up full then?

volume yes but tone varies. On the Neck pickup for a SCOM sound I play on 4. for both pickups i usually mix 6(neck) and 8(bridge). When playing an Out Ta Get Me-esque song I put the tone at 7 or 8 on the bridge and then i put it to 10 for heavier things.

keep in mind this is on my Orville LP Standard, I dont play my epiphone anymore. The Orville has Gibson p/ups but the Epi LP Custom you dont get as smoothe a sound with the neck p/up. It's a better guitar for heavier bridge=pckup stuff. or if you are using the right amp and settings (izzy, fortus, and finck) you can get a good lead tone and a PC-type rythm. I just copy slash's settings on my Peavey ValveKing 212 on Class A/B tubes about 80% power and it works for me (as I want Slash's sound)

hope i didnt confuse the fuck outta you Cheesy

Hi

Here is a couple of my guitars, and they are for sale!

The first one is a Epiphone Les Paul Slash signature.
I meet Slash when Velvet Revolver played at the Skanderborg Festival in Denmark, and he signed my guitar.
This is a cool and nice guitar.

How do i place picture?Huh

i no longer have the red gibson, sold it on a while back, got an old bc rich since then, but i'm gonna get rid of that soon aswell.

guitars:
fender strat
bc rich mockingbird
gibson les paul custom shop slash sig
grestch white falcon

amp:
jcm slash head
silver jubilee cab
peavey blazer practice amp

effects:
cry baby wah wah
boss acoustic pedal
boss dd-6 digital delay pedal
boss bf-3 flanger pedal

the cry baby is pretty much destroyed now, cuts out while i'm using it at times, just waiting on the slash wah after reading the review of it in TG

BTW: I was really turned on to Tokai by this thread, but you guys say the japanese Tokai is the thing to go for. I can only find the one's made in Korea. Are these inferiour to the japanese one's? Or are the Korean one's just as good to play?

I knew a few guys that played Tokai strats because in the 80's Tokai reproduced their strats to exact Fender specs making it a bargain.  SRV posed with one on an album cover and even endorsed them for a while.
