I have Summer Teeth. Not my favorite album of all time, but very appropiate for a certain mood. Country rock at its best, so I don't think is that similar to Tommy's album.
They are very respected in the business. Rock press and colleagues praise this band as a major influence and so on. I don't particulary see any of this, to me there are just another good Rock and roll band with country influences, but hey, it's just my .02.
any other album recommendations Deez?
Definitely agree that you have to be in a certain mood to listen to them.?
I'm not a hardcore fan or anything but I think 2002's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is their best cd and also probably their most critically acclaimed.? It's a pretty cool story that their label (Sire/Reprise) actually dropped them because they thought that YHF wouldn't sell and then they came out with that cd on another label and it sold like 3 times more than their previous records.?
