In the past years they used to sell single-day tickets, but only shortly before the festival. Since the venue is so big there's hardly a chance that it will sell out.

True, the site is huge... That's really the only down I can think off concerning this festival. The miles of walking, up hill, rolling downhill, ah well... with a cold Bittburg in my hand, thinking of the great GN'R show ahead, I won't be all that bad...  peace

... well....!! since I work for a German company, I'm going to be there for 2 weeks....  Grin .... including this weekend and the World Cup beginning.... my question is... I've seen that the ticket is 130 Euros for the 3 days.... that's a lot of money considering that I just want (and I just have the time) to see Gn'R..... is it possible to pay just for that event??? or I really need to pay the full ticket???........

Thanks for the help!!!!!

I just mailed the promoter for the festival (Marek Lieberberg productions) & asked whether they will sell single day tickets. Their response:
Quote
es wird dieses Jahr f?r Rock am Ring KEINE Tageskarten geben.
--> there will be NO single day tickets for Rock am Ring this year.

So no RaR for me *sniff*. I don't have 130 eur, especially not if had to pay them for only one night.  rant Or can I get the money back I spent on the no-shows in Stockholm, Berlin, Rock im Park/am Ring in 2001 and Lisbon? I still have an unused Rock am Ring ticket from 2001, maybe I can use that one  rant ?

With a capacity of well over 100.000, I doubt they're going to stop at 80.000...

Take a train to Koblenz (make sure it is Koblenz.de not Koblenz.ch), there are shuttle busses from Koblenz to Nuerburgring (here: http://www.rockamring.de/anreise.html , also check http://www.rockamring.de/shuttlebusse.html for the busses that go round the whole camping area and stuff.). You can buy train tickets at the train station in the airport (Frankfurt or Koeln). You might want to check www.bahn.de for details.  if you need help with translation etc., PM me Smiley
