If a single drops now, I belive something is in the works... ie. an EP or some sort of iTunes sampler... otherwise it is wayyyyy to soon when considering a fall release.

The problem I see with that is, say you release Better with a killer video, the song becomes a huge hit. You have to release something with it while it is still fresh in everyones mind. If you release the album in Sept. then Better is old news and the song is already played out. However, release an EP (with some acoustic live tracks and/or Demos) and GN'R make some money, thier label recovers some of the 13 million before the album even drops and then drop CD in September with a new single. Sort of like the whole Civil War single release except with a great video.
