AFD could have been called welcome to the jungle
lie's could be called patience because you need that with axl
ill 1 could be november rain
ill 2 could be MY WORLD (j/k) or estranged
So why do we have a title track for this album?
Why not just title it guns n roses since it is a new begining?
This all seems very different then when axl didn't have as much pull with the band, singles got released, axl still nailed bitches in the ass, slash was the mouthpeice of the band and now we have almost no info for ten+ years.
My point is that gnr is a new thing now so I think it should be self titled (opinions please)

Maybe they are touring under the band name for this reason I mean it's possible and it would shock everyone

The title was inspired by the song.  Axl wrote the song Chinese Democracy and thought it would be a cool name for the album, no need to overthink it

I really, REALLY hate it when bands don't name their albums. It's annoying when they do it with the debut, and I especially hate it when an established band does this. If you don't even have enough creativity to come up with a name for the record, what does that say about the rest of the album? Yeah, I know, I know. New beginnings, this time we are really going to kick ass, blah blah blah. To me, it's just lame.

One exception: The White Album

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

Your run-on sentences are much more entertaining than we could possibly be.

That was back in 1999, when Axl appeared ready to put some music out there (Oh My God did get released on the soundtrack), and at that point the 'intention' was to release CD in 2000.

Self-Titled records are just boring titles, and it would be really confusing just calling the album "Guns N' Roses" at this point.

But the tour is labeled as gnr and not cd so they are already confusing people.

Actually Appetite was gonna be called Welcome To The Jungle until Axl saw the painting then he wanted it to be called Appetite, and the rest of the band agreed.

I was just ranting about the new more toned down axl and the soft content in the lyrics.

Some things are different in the NewGNR world... in the past the only song in which the title wasnt on the lyrics was Estranged, now we have.... all the 2002 new songs minus The Blues
