it would be cool, but i dont think that it will happen... when Gilby came here to Argentina to play some gigs, i was at the press conference.... and he was ask if he was invited to join VR...and he said no, but even if he was asked to join, he would not join, because he wanted to be like " lead " guitar, or lead of the band, he didnt wanted to be the "2nd" or the rhytmn guitar player. So i dont think there're any chances of Gilby joining VR.... even Izzy was more close to be part of the band with his guest appareances ( Smashbox 2003 -acoustic-, Italy 2004, Spain 2004 ect ) than Gilby.

Well, Gilby is a GREAT Lead player, so yeah, being in his own band is far better.

Dave is an excellent player and this discussion is pointless.

nope, dave brings the opposite feel that slash does, perfect!!dave uses the pedals alot, which gives VR  a unuqie feel IMO

Gilby has said he wants to play lead in any band, I think-someone once asked him about Brides of Destruction, I think-he stated they already have lead guitar-whether or not you like Supernova concept, it's his best chance to shine as lead-he would not have that in VR

Gilby's very talented and a cool personality, but VR is built for two, and they've made a commitment to Dave, who has proven himself worthy of being in VR.

Gilby is great, I don't know why they didn't get him in there when they were putting VR together in the first place. But maybe they wanted to separate themselves from the GN'R minus Axl, by having a new rhythm guitarist. Then again, Izzy was jamming with them, so who knows?

I'm glad we'll get to hear Gilby hopefully playing some lead in Supernova though.

yeah before the band was established...it woulda been cool but not now...

besides Gilby's solo thing is his thing...he has total freedom with his music what more could ya want as a musician?
